This glorious shot was taken at the entrance to Edinburgh Castle. I have a customer that wants a 4×4 print of this shot!? I dig it, but not as much as her.

Knighted Princess

I was innocently walking down the Golden Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland, when the chap pictured left knighted me. The two lass’ were giggling and laughing, as the guy went from left to right nearly nipping my ear with the fake sword. I donated fifty pence to his cause and laughingly pleaded that one of them do it. So, I snapped a few images as they both blushed from the embarresment. Quite humorous, I say.

What better way to introduce a new photoblog with the word “Distill” in it than a picture of a Cathedral, Glasgow Cathedral to be exact.

There’s actually a funny story behind this picture. I had been out taking pictures all day. It was a gloriously rare sunny and tepid day in Glasgow. The pint of Magners that I had with me lunch that Sunday afternoon was eating away at my bladder. So, I ran around the cathedral like an old man that had too many cups of coffee trying to find a bathroom. I managed to refrain from dancing, ’til I got outside.
