I was in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donaghadee">Donaghadee, County Down</a>, when I snapped this shot of rope. I was with the lovely <a href="http://grannymar.com/blog/">Grannymar</a>, who kindly offered to take me to Donaghadee.  We had a grand time snapping shots of the lighthouse, quay, boats, and coastline.  The rope captured my attention from the back of a fishing boat.  I wondered about how it had been used, and who used it.  I pondered how many of my ancestors fished off of that craggy coastline.  Heck, the person that rolled it up in such a particular fashion might have been one of my relatives.</p>
